About Robert McKennon

Robert J. McKennon is a founding partner of McKennon│Schindler LLP. He represents individuals and small-to-large corporations in sophisticated litigation matters in state and federal court. Mr. McKennon is admitted to all federal and state courts in California, and regularly handles litigation matters in federal courts in the Western United States. He is a nationally recognized expert in insurance litigation matters and has tried, litigated, and resolved hundreds of insurance litigation matters, including life, health and disability insurance, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, class actions, unfair trade practices, ERISA/employee benefit, and insurance agent/broker litigation. Mr. McKennon has also handled numerous business litigation cases in the areas of general business and contract disputes, unfair competition and employment, and he has represented numerous individuals and institutional clients in FINRA (formerly called NASD) arbitrations, and has arbitrated numerous securities cases.
Mr. McKennon frequently serves as a guest speaker at local and national conferences concerning life, health, disability, and ERISA issues, and has chaired numerous national conferences on these topics.
Mr. McKennon formerly represented insurance companies in first-party insurance lawsuits involving life, health and disability insurance disputes, insurance bad faith and punitive damages for over twenty-four years. He is now using this knowledge and experience to represent insureds, claimants, businesses and other consumers who believe that their insurance company improperly denied their claim for insurance benefits.
Mr. McKennon was the founder and editor of the Life, Health & Disability Insurance Law Blog at lifehealthdisabilityinsurancelaw.com. He is currently the editor of the California Insurance Litigation Blog at californiainsurancelitigation.com. He is also a regular contributing author of insurance and business articles in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, the most read and respected legal journal in California. The nationally respected Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and the nationwide Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers has awarded Mr. McKennon their highest possible rating, "AV." About Eric J. Schindler
Eric J. Schindler is a founding partner of McKennon│Schindler LLP. Mr. Schindler represents individual and business clients in arbitrations, trials and appeals involving insurance coverage and bad faith, construction defect, insurance and real estate agent/broker liability, trademarks and copyrights, class actions, serious injury and wrongful death, and other consumer and general business matters. Mr. Schindler has recovered numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements for his clients. Mr. Schindler is admitted to practice in all California and Louisiana state and federal courts.
Mr. Schindler taught as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles, and regularly speaks and publishes for local and state bar associations and continuing legal education conferences in California.
Mr. Schindler was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and currently lives in Orange County, California.

About Scott Calvert

Scott Calvert is an attorney in the Orange County office of McKennon│Schindler LLP. Mr. Calvert previously worked for Barger & Wolen LLP where he handled hundreds of litigation matters involving ERISA-governed employee welfare benefits plans, specifically disputes over disability insurance, life insurance and pension benefits. In addition to his ERISA work, he also represented insurance companies in first-party insurance lawsuits involving life, health and disability insurance disputes, insurance bad faith and punitive damages. Mr. Calvert is now using this knowledge and experience to represent insureds, claimants and other consumers who believe that an insurance company improperly denied their claim for insurance benefits.
In addition to being an experienced insurance litigator, Mr. Calvert represents individuals and small-to-large companies as they litigate and otherwise attempt to resolve their business disputes. He also handles litigation involving bankruptcy and real estate disputes. Mr. Calvert represents individuals and institutional clients in securities-related arbitrations before FINRA (formerly called NASD) arbitrations.

About Reid Winthrop
Mr. Winthrop is an associate in the Orange County office of McKennon | Schindler LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Winthrop was an associate at the law firm of Stroock, Stroock & Lavan, LLP where he practiced insurance and business law in the firm’s litigation department. Besides his law firm experience, he was corporate counsel for two energy related companies, Pilot Power Group, Inc./EDMS, LLC and California Green Energy, where he handled litigation and transactional matters. Today, Mr. Winthrop focuses on a broad range of complex civil litigation involving insurance, business, real estate and ERISA litigation. He is currently a contributing author of the firm's California Insurance Litigation blog at www.californiainsurancelitigation.com and the firm’s Privacy & Data Security Blog, a legal blog focusing on internet privacy and data security issues.
