About Robert McKennon

robertmckennonweb.jpgRobert McKennon is a founding partner of McKennon│Schindler LLP. He represents individuals and small-to-large corporations in sophisticated litigation matters in state and federal court. Mr. McKennon is admitted to all federal and state courts in California, and regularly handles litigation matters in federal courts in the Western United States. He is a nationally recognized expert in insurance litigation matters and has tried, litigated, and resolved hundreds of insurance litigation matters, including life, health and disability insurance, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, class actions, unfair trade practices, ERISA/employee benefit, and insurance agent/broker litigation. Mr. McKennon has also handled numerous business litigation cases in the areas of general business and contract disputes, unfair competition and employment, and he has represented numerous individuals and institutional clients in FINRA (formerly called NASD) arbitrations, and has arbitrated numerous securities cases.

Mr. McKennon frequently serves as a guest speaker at local and national conferences concerning life, health, disability, and ERISA issues, and has chaired numerous national conferences on these topics. Mr. McKennon was the founder and editor of the Life, Health & Disability Insurance Law Blog at lifehealthdisabilityinsurancelaw.com. The nationally respected Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and the nationwide Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers has awarded Mr. McKennon their highest possible rating, “AV.” This assessment is based on confidential recommendations received exclusively from lawyers and judges. About Eric J. Schindler

Mr. Schindler represents individual and business clients in arbitrations, trials and appeals involving insurance coverage and bad faith, construction defect, insurance and real estate agent/broker liability, trademarks and copyrights, class actions, serious injury and wrongful death, and other consumer and general business matters. Mr. Schindler has recovered numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements for his clients. Mr. Schindler is admitted to practice in all California and Louisiana state and federal courts.

Mr. Schindler taught as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles, and regularly speaks and publishes for local and state bar associations and continuing legal education conferences in California.

Mr. Schindler was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and currently lives in Orange County, California.

About M. Scott Koller

mscottkollerweb.jpgM. Scott Koller is an associate in the Orange County office of McKennon | Schindler LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Koller was an associate at the law firm of Barger & Wolen LLP where he practiced insurance and business law in the firm’s litigation department. Before his law firm experience, he developed a background in information technology when he founded System Operation Services, an IT consulting firm. Later, Mr. Koller became the Director of Pre-Funding Operations at The Technology Venture Alliance, an early stage venture capital firm. Mr. Koller focuses on a broad range of complex civil litigation, including contract, business tort, and insurance litigation. Mr. Koller was formerly on the editorial board of the Life, Health and Disability Insurance Blog at www.lifehealthdisabilityinsurancelaw.com. He is currently a contributing author of the firm's California Insurance Litigation blog at www.californiainsurancelitigation.com.

About Steven Streger

stevenstregerweb.jpgSteven Streger is “of counsel” to McKennon|Schindler LLP. Mr. Streger has significant experience as a trial attorney (in both criminal and civil matters), mediator, and temporary judicial officer for the Orange County Superior Court. He graduated in the top 5% of his law school class, and has been named a “Southern California Rising Star” in the field of litigation by LA Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine for the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. He is widely recognized by his peers as a gifted trial attorney, strategist and advocate.

Prior to forming the Streger Law Group in early 2009, Mr. Streger spent ten years as a Special Counsel and civil litigator for Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, a large international defense firm. There he handled complex cases in the areas of professional negligence, business and employment litigation, unfair business practices (including statewide §17200 class actions), toxic tort actions, premises and general liability. Prior to that, he spent a year in a small boutique firm in Laguna Hills (Bruinsma & Hewitt), two years in a personal injury law firm (Javan Tenorio & Slater) and two years with the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office, heading up its misdemeanor arraignment team as a student intern.
